The most important part of BasketBros gameplay is scoring efficiently while preventing your opponent from doing the same. You need to control your character carefully and create opportunities to throw the ball into the rival's basket.
A good scoring opportunity can disappear quickly. Instead of throwing the ball whenever you receive it, pay attention to your position and the location of your opponent. A well-timed shot can be much more effective than a rushed attempt. You should also learn how your chosen character handles the ball. Different statistics can influence how comfortable a character feels when moving around the court or creating scoring opportunities.
Scoring is only half of the match. If you build a lead but allow your opponent to score repeatedly, that advantage can disappear quickly. Defense becomes particularly important near the end of a close game. When there is limited time remaining, preventing even one basket can make the difference between winning and losing. Pay attention to where your opponent is moving and try to stay between them and the basket whenever possible.

If you want to challenge someone sitting beside you, 2-Player Same PC is the obvious choice. You and your friend can compete directly on the same computer, turning the game into a quick head-to-head basketball match. This mode is particularly useful when you want an immediate competitive experience without setting up an online match. Because both of you share the same screen and court, every basket can become a direct test of skill.
BasketBros also lets you compete against other people online. If you want to find a random opponent, you can use the Host button to create a room and connect with another player. The room-code system also allows you to play with a specific friend. After creating a room, you can send the code to your friend. They can select Join and enter the code to join your match. This gives you a convenient way to arrange private basketball games without needing to rely entirely on random matchmaking.
At the beginning of the BasketBros game, only the first five characters are unlocked. The remaining characters need to be unlocked through gameplay. To unlock more characters, you need to play the different game modes and win as many matches as possible. This creates an additional progression goal beyond simply winning individual games.
